Hello again … I love mosaics and yours are exiting! I have wanted so long time to make something with mosaics but didn’t manage yet – perhaps one day – I have even saved lots of material. My hb has made ‘with his own technic’ a small church and our house with tiny pieces of tiles.

Thank you! I have lots of material saved as well – I couldn’t bear to throw away pretty broken pottery, or even just plain tiles, so I learned how to mosaic so I could use some of them up. But now that my friends and family know I use these pieces, I have more than ever before!
Thanks! I didn’t use bowling balls though I have heard that folks use those. They’d be VERY heavy I would think!
Mine are hollow and they’re quite a bit bigger than bowling balls. I start with a rubber ball – often the kind that are sold in the big metal cage in the drug store for 3 bucks or so- and cover it with a mixture of plastic cement and fiberglass to create a shell on which to mosaic. I have a picture of one of the balls I started out with here. And a picture of the cement cover/before mosaic’ing surface here (these are eggs but I used the same cement/fiberglass mixture)
